Agency History

Beimdiek Insurance was founded in 1936 when George S. Beimdiek started the business from scratch. As a family business, Mr. Beimdiek sold his ownership in 1976 to his son, George S. Beimdiek III (Steve) who incorporated the company as Beimdiek Insurance Agency, Inc. Over the years the company has grown both organically as well as through several acquisitions including the Zeckser, Croley, Boggess, Allen, Hill, Garvin, Chalmers and Osborn agencies.

Our home office opened at 215 E. 3rd Street in Carthage and served us well until our current home was built in 1990 just down the street at 303 W. 3rd Street. Operations were expanded to Joplin as a result of the Garvin acquisition in 2001 and to Neosho as a result of the Osborn acquisition in 2011.

As the agency has grown so has our ability to offer additional services and lines of business to our clients. With about 30 employees we are now able to offer specialized service for personal, commercial, trucking, and employee benefits insurance programs.

Still privately owned by Steve Beimdiek, we are proud of our local heritage as well as our ability to evolve with our environment and the technological advancements to be able to offer the best solutions possible to meet our clients’ needs.

We are Beimdiek Insurance and we are proud to insure your part of the world!
